Star-COLIBRI project: biorefinery clustering
Star-COLIBRI policy papers
Star-COLIBRI aims at contributing to the development of European and national policy initiatives. In practical terms, two main policy-oriented documents will be published .
Joint European Biorefinery Vision for 2030

The Joint European Biorefinery Vision for 2030 presents the comprehensive assessment of the key factors, challenges and opportunities that will drive the area of biorefinery. The result is a formulation of a common vision for all the major stakeholders of the five ETPs in the area of biorefinery. The document builds on similar existing documents, including but not limited to the biorefinery-related content of the Vision Documents of the ETPs. Potential gaps are complemented with the findings of Star-COLIBRI.
The Joint European Biorefinery Vision for 2030 was published at the High-level Policy-maker Conference on Biorefineries on 5 October 2011 in Brussels. The document is available here.
European Biorefinery Joint Strategic Research Roadmap for 2020

This publication analyses and identifies gaps between industrial needs, ongoing research activities, and research funding as identified by EU and national research funding programmes. It also identifies research areas of specific importance.
This document brings together the biorefinery aspects within the existing Strategic Research Agendas of the participating European Technology Platforms. It also takes into consideration other relevant research strategies, including national Research Road Maps; policy documents such as the Biomass action plan and the SET-plan.
The European Biorefinery Joint Strategic Research Roadmap for 2020 was published at the High-level Policy-maker Conference on Biorefineries in Brussels on 5 October 2011. The document is available here.
