Star-COLIBRI project: biorefinery clustering
Star-COLIBRI policy papers
Star-COLIBRI aims at contributing to the development of European and national policy initiatives. In practical terms, two main policy-oriented documents will be published .
European 2030 Vision document

The Vision document 2030 will present the comprehensive assessment of the key factors, challenges and opportunities that will drive the area of biorefinery. The result will be a formulation of a common vision for all the major stakeholders of the five ETPs in the area of biorefinery. The document will build on similar existing documents, including but not limited to the biorefinery-related content of the Vision Documents of the ETPs. Potential gaps will be complemented with the findings of Star-COLIBRI, the existing text material will be harmonised and updated.
Expected publication date: January 2011
Strategic Research Roadmap for 2020

This publication will analyse and identify gaps between industrial needs, ongoing research activities, and research funding as identified by EU and national research funding programmes. It will also identify research areas of specific importance. The timing of research activities necessary to realise the Vision 2030 should as far as possible be established.
This document will bring together the biorefinery aspects within the existing Strategic Research Agendas of the participating European Technology Platforms. It will also take into consideration other relevant research strategies, including national Research Road Maps; policy documents such as the Biomass action plan and the SET-plan.
Expected publication date: September 2011
